Message:
I have a question for all you guys. I just bought a 04 dakota 4x4 with the 4.7 in it. I have a ton of suspension knowlegde but it is all geared towards cars. I'm looking for a 4-6 inch lift for the truck and no idea of where to look or what to look for. Any pointers would be great! My email is ek9keith@yahoo.com

thanks
keith

Unfortunately, I don't think that there is a suspension kit avail for your truck. I have an 04 QuadCab and installed a 3" body lift because I couldn't find a suspension lift for it. The body lift was real easy to install and I'm clearing 33x11.5 BFG's with no rubbing.

You can check with any place that sells lifts to confirm this, but it seems that companies like Rancho are pi$$ed at Dodge for subtle design changes to the Dakota that made their lifts obsolete. They can't justify the R&D and manufacturing costs to produce a product that will only work on one to two model years.
