I would like to put a 3" Suspension lift on my dakota (02) SLT Quad Cab 4x4. How is the Rancho 3" Suspension lift? Which Rancho shocks would be better, 9000x or 5000? Any help would be great. Thanks

The lift is fine. Get the RSX 9000's. You may want to get the Add A Leafs while your at it. The lift comes with only 2" blocks for the back. The add a leaf will get you to atleast 4" in back and some Torsion adjustment will level it out. I have 4" of actual lift by doing this. Or you can get a 3" block.
If you are planning on running a wide tire you will need new rims with a smaller offset, backspace. The relocation of the upper ball joint makes a 285x75x16 tight on stock rims and if you have MOOGs it may rub since they are fatter. Mine did on stock rims.

Never late for a Tee time or wheelin with my buddies! Always ready for both!!!

Forexfour thanks for the great information. What size tires would you recommend? Brand? Good price online? Looking for A/T sporty look. Once again thanks

Most guys like the BFG AT's but are not rated the best, I think it is most the Agreesive look it gives.

Depending on the rim size, 285's or 295's would be a good size at 75x16. They could be tight on stock rims. If 15" rims then I would say 33x10.5x15 or a 32x11.5x15. With the Rancho lift if you want 12.5 wide then you will have to get new rims with a smaller offset.

If you are gonna be wheelin it a bit then I would stay narrower unless you are getting newer rims with less Backspace. The upper ball joint is a tight fit with the wide tires.

I don't think I have the cash for new rims as well. With the 16 inch stock rims, I was looking at the 285 75 16. I think they were called bridgestone dualers A/T and the price was $130 a piece. Once again thanks
