Brent -

The cheapest way is to put a 3" body lift on your truck. I got mine shipped to me for $226. It only takes about 6-8 hours to install it with a floor jack and hand tools.

As for the tire size you can fit 33x12.5 on your stock 16x8 rims and rub minimally. I know of a couple guys here that actually are running 35s with just a body lift and their t-bars cranked to just level out the truck.

On last thing don't ever max out the t-bars! You are looking at possible major front end repairs down the road, besides the truck would ride like a tank. I for one have mine cranked to lift the truck about 1-1.5". My truck is a little higher in the front then the back at the present time, but I have some add a leafs to install in the back which will give me another 2 inchs.

Later,

2001 Patriot Blue SLT Quad Cab 4x4, 4.7 V-8, K&N air filter, new Moog upper ball joints, Powerslot rotors, Hawk pads and a 3" PA body lift.

Coming this spring 3" Rancho, 35x12.5x15 Good Year MT/Rs and 15x8 Center Line HellCats.

Pics will be available soon at http://www.dakota01.com

Don't get me wrong the frame is visible, but even with the body lift the frame only sticks out about as bad as a not lifted Chevy or GMC vehicle. If you add nerf bars to the truck the body lift won't even be noticeable.

My plan this spring is to get some nerf bars for my QC and paint them the same color as the truck. That should hide the frame completely.

I wish I had some pics to show you, but I don't.

Anyone feel free to chime in here! LOL.
