I have a 1999 dakota 5.2L. I want to go as big as I can but still have pretty good steering. What is the best? Thanks

Most of the kits out there don't really affect steering. I had 6 inches of lift on my dakota and the steering was the same as a stock truck. Of course, the higher you go, the more caution you have to take when driving since the center of gravity has changed. I'm seeing dakotas with the 3 inch rancho lift and 3 inch body lift. There's also a truckinsuspension lift which is bascially the highest lift out there for dakotas, but i've heard alot of bad stuff about their kits to not mess around with it.

I also have a '99 4x4, mine is a club cab and I just put a PA 2" body lift on it and I had previously installed 1.5" blocks in the back and cranked the torsion bars in the fron 1.5". This gave me slightly more lift than a 3" PA body lift and you can't realy see the frame at all like you do with a PA 3" lift. I would recoomend doing that. I did it al myself over a weekend so it only cost me $200 to do all of the lift.
