Subject: Truckin suspension lifts
IP: Logged

Message:
I have looked for a suspension lift for my 02 4wd dakota and all i can find is the truckin. Anyone who has either the 6.5 or the 4.5 please email me to tell me if this is a good idea since I've heard ominous warnings about this lift. Also I already have a 3 inch PA body lift and i am planning on running 35s. Do I have to recalibrate the computer for the truck to be drivable(I dont care about a inaccurate speedo)?
Thanks in advance

You should reset your PCU by unpluging the negative battery cable and turining your key to the start position for 20 seconds.

Matt I got the 6.5in. lift, I had it 10mos. so far with no problems. You can see my truck on the 6.5in. lift w/33x12.5 post on this form. If you got any questions just let me know I'll be glad to help if I can.

Thanks guys. I'm still a little worried about mounting 35s because a mechanic i talked to said that dodge trucks from '98 on would not shift out of second after tires two sizes smaller or larger were mounted. Any info would be great. Thanks again

I had 38s on my `99 and it shifted fine , just needed to turn off overdrive on the highway.

35s will be fine , if you want to in the future , get a set of 4.56 gears.
