about 6.5" lift

All custom work, axles and coils from 79 Bronco

Future plans,

Very Future plans (once full time job, full size truck and trailer come along)
Take bed off, full exo-skeleton, bobbed 6", coilovers in front, and many other cool stuff but I probably will never get to do.

Well,
as much as I have looked at it I don't think it would be that hard. Once you got your axles that you want, then all you would have to do is add a piece of steel to the front end of the frame to hold the front of the leaf springs and then add something to hold the rear of the leaf springs. I can't remember the website, but there is one that has been done and documented, if you do a search you should eventually get it, my computer is down so I don't have the link anymore. I do know that leaf springs is definetly easier to do because you don't have to put in control arms, spring buckets, or a track bar. There are a few guys that run leaf spring front ends on this site so hopefully they can help you out.

One thing that I would like to add as a side note, if you have to money to do a solid axle conversion, spend all the money you can and get either coil springs or coil overs in the front, you will be glad you did because the ride is smoother and you can flex a whole lot more. Leaf springs are simple, cheap and easy to find, install and run, but they don't give that extra coolness that coils bring. But also if you are going to do it, do it the way you want and have fun with it. Your truck will be unique and no one else will have one like it so be different it is more fun.

If you have any more questions let me know.
