Could everyone that has a Performance Accessories 3" body lift on their 2000+ 4x4 Daks let me know what their overall impressions are w/ the lift, if they would do it again, what they have planned if/when a suspension lift comes out (add susp. lift/replace w/ susp. lift/keep as is), plus what size wheel/tire combo they are running, how much rubbing they experience (if any) or what they had to do to eliminate the rubbing. I have a 2001 QC w/ the handling package (265/70-16 Goodyears on factory 16" rims) I would like to keep the factory rims, unless there is a better combo of wheels/tires to eliminate rubbing and mount the biggest quietest tire I can, that would do well on the streets of Phoenix, in the AZ desert and Rockypoint sand.

Also, if anyone has any recommendations for a 4x4 shop in the East Valley to install the lift (I'm dangerous w/ tools!!!), please let me know. Maybe if I can get enough info, we can point others to this thread for 2000+ body lift answers. Thanks to all in advance who respond.

Brian

I would do the lift again in a heartbeat. It is awesome. But I would do it if you have 3.92 gears. I have 3.55 and wish I had a little more power. I am running 285x75R16 tires on stock wheels with no rubbing at all. BFGoodrich All-Terrains are quiet on the highway and pretty darn good offroad. When the suspension lift comes out my truck is going even taller. I want 35's and 4.10 gearing if not 4.56.

Guess I shoulda mentioned when I ordered my truck, I went w/ the 3.92s and the 5.9L in anticipation of lifting it. Looking forward to a little better mileage w/ 33s or so.

Note: 285/75R16s equal 32.80 tall x 11.22 wide (FYI)

Hawkeye and I are installing the performance accessories lift on my truck on Saturday. Can't wait! He's a lifesaver!!! Just got off the phone with him a few minutes ago and I'm really glad that he offered all the help he has. The instructions make it seem reasonably simple, but I don't think it's something I'd want to tackle by myself. Haven't decided which tires I want yet, but I don't think it will be too long before I get some larger ones on there.

I'll have my digital camera and will take a bunch of pics of the process plus some before and after pics.

Only rubbing I have experienced is on the very bottom back corners of the front bumper in about mid turn. Little trimming of the plastic fixed it. Wasnt bad enough to do any damage, just a little annoying was all. I am very happy with the lift. You can do as crusty said and run 285x75x16's or 305x70x16's on your factory rims with no problem. You are correct, 285x75's are basically a 33x11.50 and the 305x70's are closer to 33x12.50's. I am running 33x12.50 Pro Comp X-Terrains and I have 3.55 gears.

So far so good ... 32x12.50 Mickeys ... 3" Perf Accessories body lift. I WILL add a 3-4" suspension lift if one comes out to the body lift. Or if someone makes a decent 6" susp lift I'll just do away with the body lift altogether.

I would like a 3-5" suspension lift to go with my 3" body lift, very happy with the body lift on my Dak more than any other truck I have owned and body lifted before. Running 285/70-16's on stockers with no rubbing and 3.55's without a problem at all. Have a set of Centerline Hellcats and 305/70-16's XT's waiting for springtime to put on, shouldn't have any rubbin with the block and torsion lift:)

Nice side view, 2THEXTRM, shows that there is little frame visible from a distance on the 3" body lift
