I know this has probably been covered many times, but i couldn't find the answer I needed in my search. Right now, my 97 2WD Dak has a 3 inch body lift with plans for the fabtech 2inch lift by summer's end. I probably will go with 31 inch tires for a while to see how much power I lose pushing the bigger tires. With this in mind, I was wondering if a ten inch wide rim is too wide will I rub or can I get it to work with proper backspacing. If I can get an eight inch wide rim to stick out enough I would do that. I am not very knowledgeable about how backspacing works but I know it has a part in the amount the wheel sticks out. So if someone could give me an idea of the backspacing and width that would look decent I would appreciate it.
Thanks

most 8" rims offroad type like welds , american eagle , american racing ...... most have a backspacing of 3 1/2 " and stick out pretty far , I have 589 ae and they stick out like 2" out from the stock ones , the 10" are the same backspacing in the above brands , if you want to try , you need 4 1/2 backspacing welds sells some and some others too , the money diff comes into play , plus you are going to stress the heck out of your ball joints and bearings .....
