I was just about to buy a PA 3" body lift from my local performance shop and the guy at the counter said "why don't you get the Trailmaster kit?" I told him that to the best of my knowledge, Performance Accessories was the only company that made body lifts for a 2001 Dakota. Now get this... He said that the trailmaster kit was $70 cheaper than the PA kit. Apparently it comes with bumper relocation brackets and a steering extension just like the P.A kit!! He even looked it up on his computer at the counter.
So...Is this guy out to lunch or what? I was planning on ordering a Trailmaster kit once I heard this but I figured I'd better play it safe and do some research first. I just checked their website and there's no mention of body lifts for 2001 Dak's. Is P.A the only company that makes body lifts for newer Dak's? Any input at all would be greatly appreciated!!!

After doing some research in the archives as an after thought, I discovered that the steering extension for the Trailmaster kit is total crap compared to the PA kit. Apparently the Trailmaster kit doesn't come with rear bumper relocation brackets either. Oh well!! I am still curious as to whether Trailmaster even makes a kit for a 2001 Dak.

I'm not really sure about Trailmaster having a kit for the 01 Dak either, but there is a really good group buy going on right now for the 3" PA body lift. Just look in the Group buy section of this site.
