 Subject: lifting it more

I bought my 97 used, and it was already lifted 3 inches. I'd like to bring in up another 3 or even 6 inches, but I'm not sure how to go about it. It may be a dumb question, but do I go for another 3 inch lift kit, do they add on to whats been done already, or... well, thats all I can think of. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Does it have a body lift or a suspension lift?
If it has a 3" suspension lift already, you can add a 3" body lift, or if it has a 3" body lift, you can add a 5.5" suspension lift.
