It's pretty easy to do a bodylift. My brother and I did one on my '93 Dakota with just hand tools. It helps to have another person there. Did the lift w/new shocks and tires in about six hours, that was taking our time with a lunch break. I'd say get a buddy to help you and go for it.

dogerocker18 ... we have not decided on which dealer we are going to go with yet, but either way the total with shipping shouldn't be more than $230. also, how wide are your stock rims? are you sure that 33's will fit on your rims?

Dodgerocker18,
you might want to consult a tire shop man, 15x7's might not work with 33's, depends on the width! I also have stock 31x10.50R15 tires on 15x7's and I would like to fit 32x11.50R15's on stock 15x7' rims with a 3 inch body lift, so tell me if it works my brother!!! By the way, your gears are 3.92, not 3.99, not a big deal, also $209 for a body lift, to much, I got mine for $179 including shipping if you can find something else to buy to boost your order above $200 well worth it, I bought a set of tow hooks for $19.

blackbeauty,

yea i wasnt sure on the gears there my self.lol
but yea im only going off of what the dodge dealership told me. but who knows i probably will go and check les shwabb and see what they have to say about the matter. as for the body lift that comes with the lift lips shipped for a total of about $230. but yea i really want a body kit bad. im tired of all these stock nissans and fords 4x4 sitting higher than me it makes me feel small. lol
i need more height.

33 tires WILL NOT fit on 15x7 rims. My 32 tires barely fit and the tread is pulling in at the sides. I had to buy 8" wide rims or the tires would wear bad. I think the 32 tires look better anyway, gives the truck a higher look.

Tracy,
It didn't come with gap guards, but from what I can tell, $50 isn't worth some cardboard, plastic, or metal, or whatever else the gap guards are made of. It seems that I could fabricate that myself for much cheeper. These things are the usual "add-ons" that "add-on" profit for the company selling them. We need to worry about INSTALLATION! I have the instructions, and unless you can weld, and have a full day, if not a couple of days that you don't need to drive your truck, expect to spend a couple of hundred on installation.

By the way, if anyone has any helpful hints on installation of a Performance Accessories 3 inch body lift, please let me know.

Also, I bought it from JC Whitney on the internet. They had a special that if you spend over 200, shipping was free. The kit was 179 and I bought something else that I needed. No sales tax either!

My 3" pa body lift came with a set of square slightly bent rectangle brackets with 4 holes. They were not in the inst. parts list and the inst. for the bumbers totaly confusing They are used for the front bumper outside supports bolt them on tward the outside and use the original bolts to secure.
For the rear I used the original top hole for the bottom and put a bolt in and supported the bumper in place with wood and drilled the other 4 holes. much easier than measuring and tapping 6 holes.
The rest of the bodylift is easy.
It took 9 hours for me to do it all (3 hours trying to figure out the front bumper inst.

Hope this helps someone. Pics availible just e-mail me jcoiler@hotmail.com

There was a lot of stuff I didn't have to use in the P.A. 3in. Body Kit. It also confused the hell out of me... I had 2 extra pucks which is kind of nice and a lot of hardware left... The rectangular slightly bent brackets I didn't use either, along with the brake line bracket, and the 90 Degree angle bent bracket.. What that bracket is for I am not sure.. But it took me 9 hrs between me and my buddy and we were both novices when it comes to that type of stuff. All said and done it was simple except one 2 parts.. The steering extension for one.. Take your time on this one, because I got the screw your supposed use from the distributer either wrong thread or just flat out stripped I'm not sure.. And 2nd. Take your time on the air shroud I ended up braking my lower part to the air shroud because it was cold and luckily it helped out to my benefit. I have a 2002 CC with 4.7 V8.. tow package and all... I never had to remove the tow package either like people were saying you might have to do.. thank god.. but anyways any questions just feel free to ask...
