Same here! A buddy of mine gets better gas mileage in his 01 3/4 ton 4X4 excab shortbox 8.1L (Yes, its an Allison)! Although, this past Saturday, I kept a log of my fuel mileage heading up to the cabin and back on the interstate. I averaged 16.5 MPG going 70MPH (in WVa hill country) w/ an AWD Honda Forman in the bed. Lets see a Ranger do that!

Gotta Pay to Play! OOH RAH!!

But dont forget with the bigger tire your odometer is not reading correctly...

Yeah, that sounds about right. With 33" tires and a 318 I get about 11 MPG in the city...a bit better during the summer though :)

(and that is right - proper odometer reading and using a US gallon)

Same here with my 97 318 4X4 with 3" lift and 33"s. I have a 3.55 rear end and am getting between 10 and 11 mpg in town. I tend to keep my foot in it a little more than I should though.
