everyone says to use the two inch spacers, but then then the front is higher in the back, why not just go with the 1 1/2" spacers instead just out of curiousity? then you wont need to get shackles for the rear.the only reason im unsure is because daystar recomends aftermarket control arms with the 2" coil spacer i dont want mess up my suspension! BUT IF YOU GUYS SO IT WORKS,IM GONNA TAKE YOUR WORD FOR IT....THANKS!!!

I don't have the spacers. But I have researched them a ton because I was thinking of buying them. The 2" will lift your truck 2.5 -3 inches so yes it will be 1" higher in the front. The major draw back is that your truck will sometimes "top out" when you go over holes or bumps because you're wheels wont be able to move downward anymore. Daystar recomends the A-arms with the 2" so you will be taking a risk. But it does work from what I've heard. I recomend the 2" lift coils from Doestch or Fabtech. The Doestch are engine specific and cost $150, shipping is free. I have them and will install them this weekend.

from the research ive done i thick u could if u got the upper and lower control arms, but for some reason someone told me about getting both of the arms and going to a coil-over, i love the idea but how much lift would i get. i like the idea of looking down at a semi, (not literally of course;) with a dak)

dude just go here www.geocities.com/quad2nv. bro just use quality parts and you'll be good. and as for the shocks "toping out" just do some research and find another truck that uses a shock that's 2-3" longer. when it comes to the suspension do research and use common sence, BOTTOM LINE.

njquad2by, do you have a body lift on your dak in the pics or is it just with the coil spacers? ive got the 3" body lift on my dak,and after the coil spacer lift this weekend (maybe)thanks stealwings 582 ,ill get some pics!! i think im going to leave the front a little higher though!!i kinda like the look ,ok ok ,call me weird but thats how i feel about the stance after the coil spacer lift! and as far as my frame being exposed from my body lift im going to put some westin step bars on it to kinda hide the frame reveal!!

It wont top out because of the shocks. Its the arms hitting the bump stops.

Christopher, dude the last time i checked a bump stops were for when you fully compress your suspension preventing your shocks from "Bottoming Out" (Not "toping out" as you thought). without bump stops you would explode your shock after about 10-20 good hard hits. thus "Bump Stops" (not top stops) are the parts saving your shocks. oh and i might know a little of what i'm talking about becuase i work with the tough truck race team (Twister Race Team) and i have taken the bump stops off personally to get just a few more inches of upward wheel travel on the suspension, and the 4x4 shop i work at, dose the same on the "rock crawlers" so that once again to get MORE travel for the suspension when it's compressed. now why would we do this if the bump stops where just going to prevent us from losing downward wheel travel? oh another thing, next time you look at your lower control arm. look at the polyurathane "bump stop" (it should be right behind the spindle), and then come back and tell me how in the world it could prevent your suspension from traveling downward. i'm sorry but i don't like being talk to as a moron when i know what the hell i'm talking about. all that have to say to some(people) on this topic is that you guys need to do some research and and just use COMMON SENSE!

I didnt even bother to read that rant that dude just wrote except for a few lines. Upper control arm. theres a piece of rubber under it that hits the frame when your truck tops out.

Josh I don't know what trucks you are talking about , but the 2 wd dak , Christopher is right . The truck after beeing lifted has little up travel cause the arm got pushed up , so the shocks don't top out , the arms hit the edge of the spring housing ( nipple) and the fabtech arms have the stop on them , if not it wouldn't hit your shocks , it would hit your upper balljoint ............
