To all those who have done this. I want to know what you done to the plate that is on the floor?
I had to cut it to make the shifts. My question is what did you put in its place? Torgue i used your idea for the shifter to move it over and up
so the problem with shifting with out hitting the dash or console is solved. But i have do do something about the hole in the floor under the console. That noise is driving me crazy. Please help.

I'm not sure why you would cut the metal plate that goes on the floorboard. That shouldn't be messed with since its a seal for your cab from exhuast and carbonminoxide. Its better to extend the shifter or do it the hard way like I did and bend the shifter (pain in the a$$). To fix that area where the metal plate is, I bet you could just use some silicone on the rubber piece of the plate and seal it back up. Its hard to tell what you need to do without seeing how it looks right now, but all you really need is that area sealed off, that should elimiate the road noise problem.

I don't think I was much help... I'm sure others on here can give some more insight. Good luck!!

Thats easy... there is a torx-head screw located in-between the top of the headlight housing and the truck body. The screw is towards the top-middle part of the housing. You'll need a T20 size driver (like a screw driver but with a star head) which you can get at Pep Boys, Checkers, or anywhere.

I used a piece of tape marked on the garage or a wall with the lights on so I could see the difference before and after I adjusted the lights. Works great!
