Hello Jeke,
Sorry to be so late responding, email server went down over the weekend.
The infamous Bernd box is the IAT Adjuster available thru www.speedtweaks.net
It's sorta named after the 'Gyro Gearloose' type fella that developed it.
BTW, It works really good on my truck.

No,Yes,no!!!
Seriously, No problems at all. If you turn the engine off before switching the box, no check engine light.
I can fine tune it for different octane gas to maximize performance under different conditions.
Rwhp in 87* weather is within 5hp of the best recorded in 50* weather.
AND, mileage on 87 octane went UP .5mpg, on 93 octane UP over 1mpg(I always drive the same way-heavy foot).
Hey, Bernd really doesn't pay me to say this stuff and I realize no product performs flawlessly on every vehicle, I just happen to like the way it performs on mine.
