Interesting note, I recieved 4 sets yesterday, 2 for grinds and the other for 200's, opened the package up and sure enough, Mopar packages #12's in the #11 boxes on all 4 sets. The #11 part number is where the problem is at and they are working on it. Watch us run out of #12's after this...

Too bad there wasn't a email DIRECT to your Mopar source for us all to complain to. Like it would do any good though.

So how long do you think it will be before you get ANOTHER shipment from Mopar?

If you prefer complaining directly to the mopar source, why don't you just order them from mopar ?

It's not that big of a deal to me (yet) Kowalski. I was just thinking out loud.

I'm bummed that I don't have my cams yet. But there probably isn't much KRC can do about it if they get the wrong parts shipped to them.

You wont see me slamming KRC unless they were to ignore me completely or something. Which they haven't. They answer their email pretty regularly. I don't go emailing them every day either. I've been getting most of my info from here. Which is good because several of us can read about the cituation all at once instead of tons of email.

Kowalski, you did the HO cams. Did you use their chain wedge tool or did you make one?

I put the H.O. Cams in and I didn't use the wedge tool, I used screw drivers and plastic zip ties. That method worked perfectly for me. I was going to make the wedge tool but after Lynn did the screw driver/zip tie thing I followed suit with great success. I still have some instructions in .doc format on my PC at work if anyone wants them. They include pictures as well.

Aaron

I made some - 1/2" thick, 5" long, 1 1/2" wide, tapering to 7/8" over 3" - worked fine. The zip ties are a great idea to be sure the chain doesn't move on the sprocket. I enjoy KRC's site, not trying to put them down; they have excellent dyno graphs on many mods.

Yeah so I'm a little late but, I've bought two things from KRC. One was a flash, which is custom, and understandably takes a while (and I overnighted my PCM like 3 days before thanksgiving so, yeah it took a lil while). Second thing was the 206 cams, which again aren't exactly laying around anywhere, those took a bit for Crane Cams to grind.

Either way, I've found email isn't too effective, but calling the shop works like a charm.

I'll do business with them again when they come up with some more sweet 4.7L things :)

Thayt's good to hear. They've answered most of my emails just fine.

I'm leaving to the Dunes in a few hours. I wanted my HO cams in to try on the trip but that didn't happen. I hope I can have them before next weekend. We may make one more Dune trip later this month.

I have done business with Marty at KRC for the past two years and have visited him several times.
I have bought everything for my truck from him and never had a problem but people should understand that he deals with hundreds of people and orders a week plus he does install work as well. And people always pull up to his shop right at the time he is working probably on YOUR parts.
So cut the guy some slack and understand things do happen and that I'm sure if you have dealt with Marty you also know he will correct the problem.

I've read where many people said KRC always made right on the problems.

Is there any new news about the latest shipment to of HO cams?

I don't want any bashing going on here. I am just asking here because this has been my best source and I know the KRC guys hang out here.

Hope to do the HO swap soon :-)

Well. It's been a few more days since I heard anything about the status with the HO cams at KRC.

Does anyone know anything?

If you havn't picked it up from the previous posts, you just have to be persistant and patient. You'd think with the volume of business he's doing he could hire someone just to answer the phone and reply to e-mails, but what do I know. Just that if I had the kind of marketing data KRC gets from this site saying I had customers who were dissatisfied with my response time, I'd spend a little money to improve it. Just my 2 cents. (still awaiting a reply to an e-mail from November!)

Well, the longest I've waited for a email form them is about 3 days, which is what I'm going on now from Monday.

Anyway. If they get me the cams soon I'll probably forget that I ever had trouble with them, especially if it isn't all their fault.
I wish they could kick their supplier in the a$$ to get these faster. Back order sucks.

We ordered a kit for my friends Yamaha Warrior the same week as I ordered my cams. It had one part on back order as well, but we eventually got it. We're going to be working on that some more tonight. I'm pretty busy lately, otherwise I'd be evern MORE antsy for these cams.

Well well. It's been a few days since I have gotten a response from KRC.
This is also going on the 4th week since I ordered the HO cams. Still no tracking number either but I was charged for these over 2 weeks ago. Hmm...

Anyone know what's the status over there?

graphite dak, I ordered mine thru v8 performance and its been 2 MONTHS!!!!! They must be going thru the same problems cause it takes them a couple of days to get back to an e-mail also and I keep being told they are being shipped the beginning of each week. This has happened several times and then no cams. So the e-mails start again. What the hell is going on with mopar! I bet we couldnt even get our money back because they would claim they were special order. If I would have known they could have been ordered thru mopar itself I would of done it, but didnt realize at the time they were mopar factory cams. I thought they were a special grind. I will be so glad when this is over.

I new they were Mopar cams, but I figured they had great support, and the chain tension tool, etc, etc.

PLus everybody seems to speak high of KRC. Not too many people offer much support of the new 4.7

I just hope they get the cam problem solved. Soon.
