Sup guys i just got today catback exhaust with flowmaster 40 2 chambers i had a cut out before which was way to loud and killed my ears...i am tryin to git a nice sound deep and not to loud i can barley here the flowmaster now i dont kow why i was wonderin if i cut the 3rd cat out if it will make it sound better or just make it noisy im tryin not to git to loud with it cause i travel alot intersate wise so runnin 2000 to 2300 rpms alot pls let me know its cuttin the 3 cat out will make sound better or just worse and loud thanx

Well I have a flowmaster 2chamber (40 series) too, and instead of running pipes after the muffler I just dumped them straight down before the axel. The Reverb of the sound hitting the pavement makes it mucho louder than just pipes alone,,has a better sound too I think. I would say it's pretty loud too,,I set off any car alarm I go past. Parking garages are really fun!

2001..I've got Flowmaster 70 cat-back duals on my '01 4.7. From previous experience with the same system on '92 5.2, yes, it will definately be louder. My '92 needed a new cat at 160K, and the higher flow Catco converter made the exhaust louder even.

hey motorsport i have a 93 5.2 4x4.here n arizona there is no smog reqiurements.do u no if i can just eliminate the cat and run duals from the ex manifolds back??
