Subject: Speed Limiter not working???

Hi guys, 2001 Amber Fire R/t. Just the other day I was racing one of those imports on 287 in NJ. Nissan Sentra Spec V, I was ahead of him the whole time by the way, but anyway, I was surprised when I looked down at the speedo and it was pinned all the way over. I have stock wheels and tires so thats not it. I thought these things were supposed to cut out around 115 or so. I was way over that and still pulling, no computer mods ever done. I am not complaining but what gives??? Thanks

EyeTrip,
What does your R/T run in the 1/4? Did the Transgo help speed up your downshifts? I have been reluctant to try anything on my trans since I figured the electronics were controling the shifts anyway. Nice R/T.

WipLash,
The TransGo is one mod I will never go without. It made it feel like what an R/T should feel like. Your trans maybe electronically controlled but it still has heavy hydro influence. Nice shifts and cooler temps.

The 135mph thing, when we all started to find out that there was a limiter alot of guys were reporting different speeds 98,115,125,135 (135 verified with laptop and RPM calculations) since I have the MP PCM, I never paid that much attention.

With the setup in the signature the best was 14.2 with a bad FMU.
I blew the motor and yanked the blower off. Now I'm moding fuel rails and getting a super FMU and will be reinstalling the powerdyne.

This is my current setup:
2000 CC R/T
52mm TB, M1, 2.02 R/T heads (polished chambers), short headers, 3.5" exhaust, flowmaster 40 single, MP PCM, removed engine driven fan, MSD ign-BTM, Taylor "409" plug wires with boots, Keith Black pistons, 5140 rods, ARP head studs, Hotchkis suspension 2/3 drop, Slide-A-Link bars, Transgo shift kit, lot's of little stuff! More to come!

Eyetrip,
Thanks, I may try that Transgo. This thing shifts way to smooth. It shifts smoother than the 93 I had. It's nearly luxury car smooth.ICK!!
