What inlet size should i get on a flowmaster 40 series, i was going to use dual 2.5" outlets. I don't want to loose low end torque, I would really like to gain some if possible. I would like to here your suggestions.

PS: I also have a K&N drop in fliter with the snorkel and rubber flap removed.

Hey DG, I have a stainless steel delta 40 series 3in. center in, dual 2 1/2 out. Used it for two months. Just a little to loud for me. I'll sell it to the first 45.00 plus shipping. Anyone interested my e-mail is hdrt2@aol.com

I recently installed a Flowmaster 50 with dual 2-1/2" on my 95 5.2 Dakota. The clowns were supposed to install 2-1/4". Seat-of-pants says 2-1/2" was a bad move on the shop's part. I wanted to maintain torque for towing a 3500lb boat. I'll have to wait until the Chesapeake Bay thaws to see if the 2-1/2 really hurt my towing. The 50 series is tollerable noise wise - but it still gave me good excuse to upgrade the stereo too.
