yep I remember seeing alll those chevy trucks all twisted up like pretzels...but they sold like hotcakes ..Then why do people still love them? Why do they still think they are the best? Well Adolf Hitler said once that its easier to believe a big lie than a small one. Dodge rules

Yeah, you never saw a Dodge or a Ford with the bed and the cab leaning in opposite directions. But it was everyday you saw a 70's, 80's, and even mid 90's Chevy Trucks with the frame warped. It was real common to see a Ford going down the road side-ways, but that was due to the suspension problems (mostly with the Twin-Ibeam). Ford had several suspension problems while Chevy had weak frames. Dodges were UGLY.

i still can't believe you put 4000lbs.in the bed of a chevy an complain about it having problems.i try to be objective, but i've never seen or heard about bent frame chevy's,ever.the next time you get burnt by a chevy you can take solice in the fact your frame is marginally stronger(maybe).

I got burned by a Chevy once. It was blazing from the ruptured gas tank that was outside the weak frame rails.

Do you know why you see more chevy's at malls?

So the person driving it can follow the oil trail it left to get back to their truck.

Best feature Chevy ever had, The Bread Crumb Engine.

Denial, denial, denial.... I have a digital camera. I'll take a pic of the next one I see sitting side-ways or with the big sag between the cab and the bed and I'll post it. That way you can say "I've seen it all now". It's a close tie between Ford and Dodge which one will carry the most load without bending the frame. This one place I worked wouldn't buy us a 3/4 or a 1ton to haul or machine parts on. We had this 1988 1/2ton Ford. This Flywheel off one of our presses weighed 6,000lbs. To haul it across town we cut 4x4 pine blocks 6" long and stuck them between the axle and the frame rails and hauled the flywheel 15 miles across RR-tracks and back roads with no damage. We did that 3 times over a 4 year period. I wouldn't attempt that in a Chevy.

Here's one for you....

Back in 1994 I had a 93 Xcab Dakota 5.2L. My boss pulled up at work beside me one day in his brand new 3/4 Chevy. He made a wise crack about my Dakota and said I ought to get a real truck. I said,"OH REALLY".... I asked him if a real truck would have a bigger frame than a Dakota? He said, "OF COURSE, HEHEHE". I made a $100.00 bet with him that my Dakota's frame was bigger than his. He took that bet. I broke out my tape measure and we proceeded to measure the frame rails on the 2 trucks. On average my 93 Dakota's frame rail was 1" bigger than his 3/4ton Chevy. At one spot right behind the cab the 93 Dakota was only 1/2" bigger than his 94 3/4ton. Just behind the rear spring hanger the Dakota was 2" bigger than the 3/4ton Chevy. Then we compared HP. I had more HP in my 5.2L than he did his 5.7L. I had almost as much towing capacity as he did. I also had the 2000lb payload option which was equal to his LD 3/4ton. The Ford LD 3/4 ton at the time only had and 1,800lb payload. Then he brought up the 6bolt wheels on his 3/4ton. I showed him my 6bolt wheels. I admitted they were weak aluminum castings, but the steel ones are at any junk yard for about $5.00 ea. He sulked for the next 3 weeks and it was then he called me in his office and fired me.

I haven't checked it in several years. I know Chevy has stepped up the program considerably over the last 5 years, but prior to 1998 a Dodge Dakota had a bigger, stiffer and stronger frame than a 3/4ton Chevy. That's why they are so damn heavy!

Take my advice and don't belittle your bosses Chevy like I did. I was fired 3 weeks after that happened! GO FIGURE!! That's the typical Chevy owners way of getting back. Bunch of Damn Sissies!

Ohhh.. The prick never did pay me my $100.00!! Typical, typical, typical.....

Bowtie,
DUH, if you know how to read you can see the letters LD in front of the 3/4ton in my post. LD stands for Light Duty...

You remind me of my X-boss. I never came to him and down graded his Chevy. He came to me and down graded my Dodge. Just like you, he couldn't take it when I turned it around and shoved it up his ass. If you can't take it, don't dish it out.

If you are one of those Chevy "guys" that own a Dodge and you are unhappy with it, GO TRADE IT IN!!!
Get you a Chevy!! I'm sure Chevy dealers anywhere would be thrilled to have you back kissing their ass.

For a minute I thought you were that Brian??? guy. No offense, but you sound just like him sometimes. You do seam to take it very personal whenever someone says something negative about Chevy's. Hence, the name "Bowtie". I can relate. I take it personal sometimes when people talk bad about Dodges. OK?

Is it OK with you if I fire back at Chevy Loyalist that come on here to degrade us Dodge Loyalist? GEEZE!
