Maybe if the viper driver was sleeping or incompetant. Or the R/T was a sleeper. There's just no way that a moderatly modded R/T is going to beat a stock Viper in a heads up race. Power to weight ratio alone will tell you that.

hell If I just spent 80K on a fast SPORTS CAR i would be tweaked if some guy in a truck kicked my a$$. I assume the RT probably cost about 1/3 the price of the stock viper to build mabey a little more than 1/3rd

Did I read the time correct. He ran a 12.6. I know guys that are running 9's and 10's with s-10's and it isn't only a couple. That viper guy needs to learn how to drive.

Yeah... I couldn't read the time very good, I wonder what they are exactly, because I'm pretty sure that a stock Viper V10, could do a low 11 in the quarter.

That's pretty sad for a v10. Must be all the weight. My frinds, VW Corrado, can pull almost a 11 flat, with not much more than stock supercharger, and engine. But all he has is a 1.8L 4cyl.

the new SRT-10s run 11s... not sure about the older ones.
gotta remember there were 400 hp vipers before 450 hp vipers and now they are 505 hp.
i dont think viper owners buy vipers to go fast. Hell i spent no more than $3500 on my shelby to go 12s (including car and maintaince)... i think they drive em to say "my wallet is fatter than yours".

WELL JUST BECAUSE A VIPER HAS A V-10 DOESNT MEAN ANYTHING, ITS STOCK!!!!!, ANY CAR HAS TO BE MODIFIED SO IT WILL BE LEGAL TO DRIVE IN THIS COUNTRY. IF THIS WAS JAPAN THAT VIPER WOULD BE PULLING 9 SECOUNDS ON A 4 BANGER.

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT A MODIFIED DODGE DAKOTA WITH THE V8 5.9L WITH SUPER CHARGER, INTAKE, HEADERS, TWO COMPUTER JET CHIPS, HEMI HEADERS AND COMBUSTION CHAMBERS, AND A $4000 EXAUST WOULD KILL A STOCK VIPER NO PROBLEM.
