I went to www.dodge.com, and got the gross weight listings under "specifications". These are no longer printed in the dealer brochure, you have to go to the website. I thought some of you guys might find these interesting. 5-Speed: RC-3707 pounds; CC-3977; QC-4230; RC4x4-4018; QC4x4-4460. Automatic: RC-3728; CC-3996; QC-4248; RC4x4-4043; QC4x4-4485. There were some CC 4x4 weights as well. The R/T's (now discontinued) weighed 4000+. I assume the heaviest Dak of all would have been a QC4x4 with 5.9.

OOPS..my bad. I should have titled this post "Curb Weights", for the unladen weights. Oh, well, you get the point.

Thanks, Joey. I should have gotten some hard numbers on R/T's before I commented. The 4.7 weighs 50 lbs. less than the LA engines, but all things being equal, you can't find anything heavier on an R/T really. The 17x9 wheels are slightly heavier, fender flares are minimal. Tranny and rearend differences? Come to think of it, that 4000 lb figure that stuck in my head probably came from so many road tests over the years of Club Cab R/T's.

yea man ur right... the club cabs tend to be about 300 pounds heavier than the regular cabs so they are usually close to 4100 pounds more or less. and most of the extra weight from an R/T vs. a 4.7 comes from the engine so this causes a poorer weight distribution which makes the R/T hell to drive in the snow. lol its my only vechicle and it can be fun but when u wanna go somewhere in the snow u better not count on the R/T gettin u there lol. madd fun for donuts though....effortless fishtailing.

I guess I'm lucky not to have traction problems with my RC 4.7 5-spd 3:92 LSD. Most of the credit goes to the 160lb Snugtop cab-hi shell. Also, an R/T owner put me on to Michelin LTX 255/55/17's when I bought 17x9 R/T rims. Pricey tires, but they sure are nice.
