I was planning on getting the following intake mods on my 2001 R/T soon:

Mopar Performance 4 Barrell 1000 cfm Throttle Body
KRC Intake Manifold
9" Intense Air Stage 3 cold air kit

What kind of difference can I expect? Also, what is the K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit?

The K&N GenII is the cold air intake. Works very well, and I highly recommend it. Unless you are putting a blower or NOS on your truck, do not ust the 4 barrel TB. Stick with the 52mm Flowmetrics or Holley TB.

from what I hear the mopar throttle body only produced 3-4 hp gain on the dyno, your better off with the f and b billet throttle body for that price. The get a solid 10 rwhp. The KRC intake is mad by hughs performance and can be accessed on this site through the links, you may get it cheaper through them.

You also have a problem with the simultaneous opening blades...there is a fix though to set them to progressive.

They are a very nice piece of work...but several people who have used them on their 5.2 or 5.9L engines have removed them and replaced them with the Flometrics or Fastman TB's. (More streetable)

Hey, Bernd, which would be the better starting point of these three mods? All are similar in price except for the headers.

1. Doug Thorley (Mopar Headers)
2. Crower 1.7 rockers
3. Hughes stage 2 TB.

I will probably have the headers HTS coated so they are kind of pricey. I already have the gibson split catback but I am looking for more bang for the buck as I might not be able to buy any more performance stuff for a while.(getting engaged). Need some smart advice.

2000 QC 4x4 5.9 and Gibson Catback.

aggie, i have a 50mm tb, and the 1.7's, but not the headers. go with the 1.7's! it has more power everywhere, but starts pulling real hard about 3000rpm, and at about 4500-5200 pulls even harder! before it died at about 4500.

the install was not bad either. oh yea, go with the mopar valve covers, the baffels look like they would be a bi1ch to take out of the stock ones

Aggie,
I agree about the 1.7's but check out Hughes Engines, they got a hi lift rocker that looks a little better than Crower and it's a lot cheaper!
I bought the Crower and they do make a big difference! but get the valve covers at the same time so you only have to take them off once.Ebay has the VC's on auction right now!

The auction number for the Magnum valve covers is# 595204202.It's at $98 now and ends in six days.Everyone should register as a buyer at Ebay because I have bought a ton of stuff for my ride off there! But do your homework, sometimes things get a little inflated, pricewise, when the bidding gets heated! And don't forget the shipping charges, sometimes things can be had cheaper at your local retailers.
