Wow you guys are something else....I have bought them all!!!!!True HID is the best, hands down...Second to that is the Sylvania Silverstar...PIAA is crap and only for suckers....Trust me, I was one of those suckers. Fortunately my local auto parts store took them back when I drove up with a stock bulb in one side and the 80 dollar PIAA in the other. There was NO difference and he quickly refunded my money. We did a comparison with the silverstars and WOW , Tremendous difference!!! But now I went to Ebay and bought projectors from a 2003 BMW x5 and took my headlight houseings apart and mounted them in along with hooking up the ballasts. YES baby. After about 450 dollars I light the whole F#@$in road up. Like daylight!!! And no annoying glare to oncoming drivers....I am the Man.
Peace out

Rick, yes you are the man....now please help me. I put SilverStars in my girlfriends Eclipse and yes they are brighter, etc..but they are better than PIAA Extreme Whites???? I can't believe it!!! I don't know from experience so I guess I am one of those suckers, I just am from the school that you get what you pay for, more expensive the better, etc.. please explain a little more before I spend twice as much for the PIAA's for my new Caravango which uses 9007's and it uses 9006's for the fogs, pretty cool, I hope this makes them more useful as opposed to previous fogs on Dodge's which were basically just for looks!

The PIAAs I had were the 9006 Xtreme White Plus with XTRA Technology. Sounds good doesn't it? Well don't be fooled! Buy the Silverstars...They are far better and will give the most light you can attain without going to a higher wattage and keeping a 4 to 5000k color temp. Which is hard to find and you would have to upgrade your wiring with a simple relay and some basic wiring knowledge because the higher wattage bulbs WILL melt your harness!!!Or at the least burn up your connector as the crimped terminal in a connection is the point of least resistance because the wire is smashed onto the terminal. This will create alot of heat thar eventually anneals the terminal to the point that it loses it's ability to fit snuggly to the post of the bulb creating even less resistance and thus melting the plug connector..................
Do not get those blue Fu$#%n bulbs that draw upto 120 watts of power at 12 vlts!!! They give off even less light on the road...And eventually will mess up your houseing from excessive heat...
Get PIAA out of your head man! True HID is the best but not in everybodys budget.
Unto you and yours
Peace
Rick Dillon

I've been running Hella 80w / 100w bulbs for over a year with no problems at all. I am now also using the Pro Car housings that are all over this board.
The light output is big time better. The Hella bulbs cost me $25 to my door.
