How much horsepower should I gain from a K&N drop in and a flowmaster 40 series with 3" inlet and dual 2.5" outlets on the 4.7?

15-25 hp??? Are you on crack? The exhaust we have is pretty free flowing as it is. Maybe 5 hp max.

I'll take "on crack" for $300 Alex

...you might get a marginal HP gain and a little better MPG.

Don't go with the K&N drop-in. They have been shown to lose 3HP/3TQ from a clean paper filter. Save your money for things that work. I ran a K&N drop-in for a year and noticed a gain when I replaced it with the old dirty filter I had in before. There is alot of hype and some down right lies in performance parts. Cams, OptimizerII, TB's all provide power you can feel everything else might add some power but not to the point where you can feel it.
