Here's a question for everyone.

I am debating several items as the next modification for my baby.

1) Crower Roller Rockers and new Push Rods for over 5500RPM use. Won't get over 5500RPM's till I get a new cam so I was thinking of these first.

2) New Cam and Roller Timing Chain tuned for my setup thats listed below.

3) 4.10 Gears for both the front and rear diff's. I currently have 3.5's and could really use the lower launch these would provide.

4) This is a bit out of my range right now but R/T heads, ported and polished.

I'm thinking of going with the gears for now as that will give me the most butt bang for the buck at the moment I think. I was thinking of saving up and doing the Heads, Roller Timing Chain, M-1 Manifold, and Cam all in one big swoop. I'd probably have a shop do that work as I would be worried of screwing it up.

Based on the mods I have whats you guy's suggestion's???

Thanks,
Shawn

I'm drooling. Your truck sounds pretty sweet. Question. What size tires are you going ot run? I would go with the 3.92's for the gears. Thats what I am going to when I put on me 33's. Currently have 32's with the 3.55. If you go to the 4.10's you will pull and launch a bit better but you will loose a bit off the top end unless you go to say 33's or 35's. Just a thought. Also with the 4.10's and say 31's or 32's it will lower your gas mileage from have to turn higher rpm's on the highway. Just food for thought. But by all means if you want the 4.10s then go for it. You would have a pulling machine.

Yea, the 4.10's may be a little steep, but I've heard the 3.5 to 3.92 wasn't very noticeable. Right now I've got 31x10.5 and if I could sqeeze them under I'd do 33's. I don't really want to put a lift on this one, so that limit's me.

What to do, what to do:-)

Like I said, I have 32's on mine stock. Not enough room left for 33's. A friend of mine has the exact same truck as mine with 32's on his also only he has the 3.92's. He runs about 200 to 300 rmp more than me on the highway but definitly has a little more off the line. For 32's and 33's I think the 3.92's are a good on and off road compromise. Again thats just me. On my friends truck with us both having 32's, You can feel the diffence between my 3.55's and his 3.92's. You should probably be able to fit 32's though. I have a couple of close ups of mine, if you want to see them I can email them to you.

Wow, I am not familiar with that deep engine stuff. But, have you ever had your truck Dyno tested as it is now?

Nope, but after everything is on and tuned as best I can by ear I'm planning on renting half a day to dial it completely in. I've thought about seeing if someone else in Atlanta would like to join me and split the time/cost.

Shawn
Butt dyno says YES though:-)
