I am seriously thinking about putting a Small block mopar into my 91 Kota. I also want to lower it. Should i do the engine swap then lower? I also want to make it a unibody(weld the cab and box together) and cut the back of the cab out, with a toneau cover. Anyone got any ideas. Thanks

Sounds like you have the ideas. If you do uni-body it, dont carry any weight to speak of, or the seams will split from the twisting of the frame while driving. The old Ford uni-body trucks and others like a elcamino have structural body panels supporting the exterior skin preventing above mentioned problem.

Um, that wouldn't be a unibody if it still has a full frame under it, unibodies have separate front and rear sub-frames...

The only reason that i want to make the truck a unibody is so that i can cut the back of the cab out to install a stereo system. I'm all about doing something different. ANd if that wouldnt classify as a unibody, then what do ya call the elcamino's, the rancheros, or the broncos? they all have no seperate cab and bed? God damn smart asses i tell ya

those are full framed vehicles. If you weld your cab to your bed you better start trailering it around. it wont last. If you want to be different then everyone else dont put a massive stereo in your truck that would be a good start
