I have a 99 R/T and when I am hitting subtle pot hole bumps there is definetly something clunking as if there is play in something?? Is it ball joints or what else are they famous for?? I only have 28,000 Miles.

Check the lower controll arm bushings and the ball joints.
sounds more like ball joints though. The lower bushings on our shop R/T wore out and that just made it creek & groan.

I have an 01 Dak QC 4.7 and have had problems with the front-end. I took it to 3 different Dodge dealers, 2 said they could not find anything wrong, and one replaced the sway bar link.

The noice mine made, and continues to make today is a clunking sound whenever I make a sharp left turn or turning hard over and uneven surface.

A service manager at one store told me that I'm probably just going to have to live with it because it will probably never be diagnosed correctly. Which is the honest truth because if it can't be duplicated, then they can only throw parts at it. So perhaps not all hope is lost for you.
