I have been seeing on ebay about these little resitors to fool the computer, into giving it more fuel and timming. Now i was wondering if anyone has done this mod, and if the power increase was good, also did you notice and pinging. I was also curious if it is just a resistor that you put in the connector, or does it work inline line with the factory IAT sensor. In other words does the IAT sensor get taken out of the loop.

I have an 03 RC 4x4 with a 4.7L

Just lenghten the wires and move the sensor. I relocated mine to the fipk intake tube just behind the heat shield. Its not a big gain but it helps.

Been there, done that.
All you do is install a 25 cent resistor inline to fool the computer into thinking it's colder and it may add more fuel.

The colder the ambient temp, the higher the resistance. That's why adding inline (series) shows a colder temp than it really is.

I haven't noticed any improvement from doing it to mine. BTW mine was allready in the intake tube (stock) and I relocated it into my home brew intake.

Do NOT waste your money buying something on ebay like that.
