I own a 2002 4.7 QC auto with the drum brakes on the back. I have noticed that the Anti lock on this model is not what you would think of as true antilock. After the brakes lock up the pressure is modulated not quickly as true antilock but off for about 1 second then they reapply. So the truck will roll for about 4 feet and then the brakes reapply. I can imagine a situation where you have to slam on the brakes and just before you hit the car in front the brakes lock up and istead of maybe sliding to a stop IN TIME the brakes are suddeny released and now you ROLL into the car in front. If the brakes DID NOT release and reapply you would have not hit the car in front. If anybody knows any info on this type of ABS then let me know. Also does anyone have any suggestions on a aftermaarket muffler that sounds good but keeps some back pressure for that low down torque. Bit of a problem wanting a free flowing exhaust but keeping some back pressure. I have a home made inlet from the throttle body to the stock air box but I am using a Amsoil filter. I also am running Amsoil 24,000 mile oil with the Amsoil filters. I ran a oil analysis at filter change at 12,000 miles and everything looks great. I have a Flowmaster 40 with the pipe routed to the back of the truck to get the noise away from the rear side window. Overall a great truck with no problems so far.
