I'm in Phoenix, Az.

Did you notice better mileage and perhaps some performance at higher speeds?
I sure did when I lowered the tail gate in my older RAM I used to have.

brand new the tonneaus go for about 850+ depending on who you buy it from and the color matching.

I didnt notice any gas mileage but it does seem to pull uphill with less strain. i dont have to be on the gas so much towing. Mileage may of gone up but I have 33 mud tires on my truck so if it did I didnt notice any difference. i mainly got it for the security aspect of being able to lock something in the bed when going in the store.

Cool. I tow a lot with my 4X4 and go up seme serious hills my self. Painting it would not be a problem, I have a garage and a paint gun, etc.

Since I bought the trailer, I don't really need to haul my quad(s) in the back of the truck.

Another question... does your tonneau hinge from the front or the side?

It hinges at the front of the bed. So if you open it it looks like a big trunk lid.

That's the kind I want.

HOw hard is it to install. Can it be done with a handful of tools like a cordless drill?
I'm asking because obviously if someone drove out there they would need to install it at least partially to get it home.

The cover, has it allready been painted? Or was white the default color ready to paint?
Maybe you have pix?

Thanks for the info so far.

it used to be a metallic blue but I had it painted white a few years back. the paint was a cheapie job and it has small chips on the edges. it does need to be painted again if its a different color than white. its not cracked anywhere ksit small scratches. it was sitting in the garage for a while and got moved around cause I wasnt using it. but overall its great.

As for installing it bro it takes me about 10-15 minutes to have it on and off the truck. it has a clamp on rail that clamps to the bed so there is no drilling. Just a 1/2 inch wrench to loosen up the clamps. That was the reason I bought it cause i didnt want to drill holes in my bed. if you were to remove it the truck would have no holes anywhere. the tonneau has a swoosh molded into the center and it looks just like the swoosh thats on the hood of the dakota.
If you go to AREs website youll see it there. I dotn have a digital cam to take pics
