I have a cold air intake on my 99 R/T, does anyone know if putting just a carb. type filter on it will get better air flow and h.p. or will it rob my performance?

If you're talking about the pie pan type filter that sits on top of your throttle body unless you have a shaker style hood or some type of functioning hood scoops I would think you would experience a decrease. Hot air rises and can't get much higher than you TB under your hood. Just my .02

Rob, you are right....I've noticed a decrease in performance on my 93 dak. UNLESS its nice and cool out...then she runs real good....I need a scoop and the K&N filter top.
