Ok, first the Speedo is in the rear axle, it is called the RWAL for rear wheel anti lock, there is a tone ring mounted to the ring gear, that measures the rotational speed of the ring gear. It is an input to the CAB (controller anti-lock brake). Which puts it on the communication line (bus) to the P.C.M and the MIC the gear ratio doesn't change the rotational speed of the ring gear relative to the road. If you changed from a 9.25 to an 8.25 then they “pinion factor” would have to be reset. as far as the tranny in and out speed sensors they have no control over the speed display in the MIC, they are just to verify correct gear selection in the tranny, and I am drivability tech at a dodge dealership
