Hello all,
I have looked at the '03 Dakotas and Durangos and noticed a larger brake rotor and multi-piston caliper...
Has anyone researched the parts needed to do this swap onto an older model Dak?
I have an '02.... and the brakes suck... for a 4000lb truck.
Any information would be helpful.

2002 Dakota Sport RC 4.7-5spd/3.92 limited slip.
No mods besides autolite 3923's, big difference at 20,000 miles to change to from the stock plugs that caused bad detonation.
I also have an Omni, It's broke.... big suprise..
;-)
But it kicks the living crap out of my DAK when it ain't broke...It should be a low 12/high 11 when I get it closer to finished...
;-)

I believe Baer has a nice upgrade to 13" stainless discs. Retail is around $1k.

I know Baer has this upgrade, but I really don't want to spend $1k on front brakes for an upgrade...
I would like to utilize factory parts only, besides the pads of course....

The brakes on the Dakota really do suck. Is Baer just the front, or all around?? I would love some 4 pistons fronts on HP+ pads.

I just checked Baer, and they do not make any products for Dakotas/Durangos. Hell, they don't even make anything for the Ram. The closest they have is for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is no help.

Does anyone here work at a dealership???
As a service person or mechanic??
Please check the spindle design and see if the new rotors/calipers/brackets seem the same as the old design spindle....
If so, they will swap on with no problems...
