Hehehehe...I won't admit to that statement. ;)

Marty at KRC Performance is building a "Hotrod" 4.7L with custom ground cams, ported heads, and a few other "goodies".

The Flometrics TB's are still underway so hang tight...they're coming soon.

What's involved $$$ in swaping out the OHC cam's. This truck could very easily turn 300hp with the right custom cam's couldn't it?

Contact Marty at KRC for that info. I personally haven't touched the heads of a 4.7L at this time and don't want to quote any wrong information.

BTW: A 300HP 4.7L isn't hard to get at all.

Thanks Bernd. 300 hp is very easy in a 4.7. I was thinking you could get that with the cam's alone. The big question is how far can I go with this engine before con rod's and other internal parts become strained.

That I don't know off hand. The engine is still considered "new" and there's not a whole lot of internals available at this time. However, with the cast pistons that they use, I wouldn't take it more than 350Hp at this time (need to research some more).

bernd, ever give any thought to where I should put the K&N crankcase vent filter?? Probably the hole on the valve cover where the PCV valve hooks on, not the blow off/spit valve correct?

Leave the PCV in the hole where it resides. Can you put the breather in the oil filler hole?

Bernnd, I was thinking that the 4.7 would be perfect for a rear wheel drive sports car. Imagine a two seat dodge the size and weight of a Neon with the 4.7 with varaiable valve timeing and about 320hp and 340 lb ft. of torq. P.S. a nice vanity plate up front with something to the effect of "Miata Eater", "Camaro Killer"..........
