Subject: HO intake manifold-finally in!

I've had it for over 6months. Finally installed it, put in a new set of Autolite 3923's to replace the OEM plugs @ 37500. They were .86 a piece at Waly World.

After reading the manual, wow, glad I didn't follow it at all.

For instance:
you don't need to remove the fuel rails, wires off the alternator, and a/c clutch, etc.

There's a sensor in the front of the manifold that has to come off (held in with torque screws) before removal, and after installation. Otherwise, you'll need to remove the fuel rails!

I did the cams about 9mos ago. After the addition of the manifold, I don't think I lost any thing down low. And as I had researched, it pulls better, higher up past 5K, than the stock manifold did. Big change? naw, but worth it when messing with some of the idiots that think they have fast rides here in the HOuston/Galveston area.

I wonder how well it will really flow with a 7500 RPM redline (KRC 206 cams, new springs, ECU...etc). I hope to God that someone can do a tunable flash for the later model 4.7L's...
