Just got back from the track and ran 12.93et@106mph. I have lousy 60 foot times at 2.2.
I have traction problems when i engage nitrous. I have M/T E.T. Streets (28x10.5x15) and still cant hook up worth a sh$t. I am thinking of going to a complete slick but also think maybe i should try the Caltrac setup. Does anybody have good experience with that setup running my type of times? Any info would be appreciated!

By the way....I smoked a modified Lighning on my way home from the track and i have 163,000 miles on a stock 5.2 running NX nitrous 200hp shot. On my 5 th bottle at that level and ran about 10-12 bottles at 150hp shots. My engine is just being stubborn on not blowing up. In a way i wish it would so i can put my 408 in because it is actually built to handle 250hp nitrous without a problem. I just refuse to take out the original engine until it bites the dust. That is why i want to fix my traction problems now!!! I expected better times tonight but the weather is bad (very hot and humid)....hopefully next week will be better! LATER!

Great time, Mickey streets aren't that good a traction tire even at 8# air pressure. Try sportsman pros or hoosier street before a complete slick. Are you using a pinion snubber to keep axle from winding up? Mopars are all stubborn on blowing up too. I havent seen a stock lightning run faster than 13.7 yet and I live at the drags. congrates on beating it anywat.

I dont have any pinion snubber or any other traction device as of now. I will definitely look into the Hoosier Streets and Sportman Pros. Who sells a pinion snubber for a 8 1/4 rear that will work on a Dakota? Would i have to weld on a bracket to have a contact spot for the snubber? I can weld really well ..so if thats what i should do that wont be a problem. I do have a 8 3/4 rear with 4.10 gears waiting for the truck but it was waiting for the 408. Maybe i should go ahead and install it with a custom 1 piece drive shaft.

I run the 28x12.5 MT ETs... still breaking them in. My 26s netted me a 1.8 60'... They do work. If you are goin 2.2-- you've got something in the suspension that needs to be addressed.

I'll be running the caltracs soon... I have a set sitting here-- Just haven't got around to installing them.

I sell them for $350 + shipping.
