Well 5.0 Stang, I under stand your pride in your ride, but let's put it this way, it's fast, so bring it on. I dought you live near Colorado so I will be in San Antonio, Texas Next week on Wednesday Night (July 9th, 2003) at Alamo Dragway running, and if that is to far then I will be at Hallesville, Texas at Hallesville Drag Strip Friday Night (July 11th, 2003). Pick a place from those and a Date and I'll see you there. Or you can come to Pueblo, CO at Pueblo Motor Speedway (PMI) on any other Friday after that, I'll be more than glad to give you the chance to run that Bad A Rustang against a slow A Dakota truck.
I have no problem with running Proxy either, Scan in your Registration card for the track you run at with your Registration Number, Scan in your time Slip with your registration number over your lane and Elapsed time, scan in or download a digitized picture with time and date of your car with your Number in the window for verification (so we know you didn't get someone in a R/T to run for you) and the track it came from for Elevation purposes and we can compare time slips. I have no problem with getting beat, either in the brackets or heads up. Cause it's like fighting, No matter how bad you are, the next corner has someone tougher on it.

HEY YATES I live in colorado springs I will run your 4.7 with my 5.2 4x4 but for nothing less then 1k cash and no under hood checks and yes my truck is street legal because it has farm plates on it. i only run for cash just so i can repair things when i get stupid and lean her out. yack yack yack i will come to hot pueblo nights any friday you pick it tell then shut up or put up. the only reason i have a 4x4 is beacuse everyone underestimates them like you and there is no need to isult anyone plz show your age and be respectfull. ever hear of offroad racing hummm 4x4's and for cash hummmm

Amerrycan, the 25th of July looks like a great date for me. I'm leaving on vacation on Thursday. I will be back on the 19th, so I will be down at PMI on the 25th. I look forward to seeing you there. Or if you happen to see me on the Street before then, We'll get a firm hand shake on this deal, I also live in the Springs. Kind of hard to miss my truck, it has my web site addy across the tail gate, or you can come to the show and shine on the 19th at Constitution and Powers, if it's not raining I will be set up down there as usual with about 1/2 Dozen other Dakotas.

it comes to show that you dont have the slowest mustang.
why is it that someone beat a car in their truck... so everyone with that same model car thinks that he is wrong? He didnt say he beat you in your ride! Hell i have beat the older 5.slows and 4.6s with my truck when it was naturally aspirated. It may have only been on the highway but still... he wanted to race, he wanted to loose.
I have race a few newer cobras (not the s/c'ed ones... havent seen one around here) with just a 100 shot of nitrous on a V6 and beat them pretty good.
One of my favorite (when i was turbocharged) mustang kills was this kid that revved his motor up every time he drove by me so i did a nice little u-turn in the middle of the road (white smoke and all, damn boost). Finally caught up to him and we ran from a near stop... took him all the way up to about 70 or so... then i got off of it, he caught up and he motioned for me to meet him at this gas station. There i showed him what i had... a V6 running 7.5 lbs of boost with a blown head gasket over the number three cylinder... with 3.55 gears and a open diff.
His mods were: short shifter, x-pipe, dual flows, headers, cold air intake, cowl hood, ignition, and 3.73 gears with a lsd. He said what i believe ever mustang owner thinks
"i didnt think you would beat me, i thought maybe you might be able to keep up with me!"
