 Subject: Best cold air intake for 5.2

Whats the best system(not the cheapest or most expensive) for my 5.2 im doing some slight engines mods and cold air is going to be the first. Then maybe a chip and exhaust. Will changing to synthetic oil(engine has 99 on it) and better plugs help at all? What are my options for easy HP and torque?

I just got my RX style K&N filter for my 5.2l and I am going to install it tomorrow. I am going to leave the factory hose on but extend in closer to the front of the wheel wel with PVC (this is where the cold air is). I will let you know hot it works.......cost is $75 for everything. I will decide later if I wont to put a heat shield on but from what I hear its not really neccesary.
I did the same thing to my girlfriends Tropper and it has a little bit more power and it's responce time is much much better, smooth shifting automatic now!
