Because the cams on the 4.7L are on the heads and not right smack in the middle of the engine.

Remove Intake,Radiator, front brackets, A/C compressor,Alternator, fan cover, water pump, timing chain cover, H-blancer, lifters, move condensor, maybe move front beam. That's some of the stuff.

Cam on a magnum 360 can get you anywhere from 30hp to 80hp with the right setup.

I replaced the cam and intake on my 97 5.2L and it was a lot of work but I did a little each afternoon after work and it was not so bad. I consider myself to be very proficient turning wrenches (at least I used to be back in the 70's). The job was worth it and I think anyone moderately knowledgable should be able to tackle it. Don't be afraid to try something new, just because it "looks" difficult does not mean you should not try it. We all learn by doing and if we don't "exercise" our brains every now and then we become lazy....
He who tries and fails learns....
He who never tries fails to learn....
My 2 cents.....

I'd reccomend the Mopar over the Hypertech. The cam and PCM should do a .5 seconds or more.
