i just bought a 96 dak 4cyl 5-speed. i need some good advice in what to put in it. i was thinking of a 3.9 w/a turbo(???) or a 408. the 3.9 for weight reasons. i want this to be a sleeper. what would be a cheaper and or faster combo? my buddy has 90 gt with 398 rear wheel hp and i want to at least keep up w/him w/o spray. need help guys, i know there are some experts out there...

there is no way your going to keep up with a 5.0 throwing 398hp to the ground unless you build one bad 408.

Anything is possible. You have to pay to play. You could smoke him if you want to pay lots of money to build a 408. If I had the money I would get a badass 360 crate motor and a nitrous kit to go with it.

Looking for a bulletproof bottom end for your Magnum? KRC builds the strokers in house and ships them to your door. Hard to believe the results? The average 408ci Ross Lightweight motor with 2.02 R/T heads, KRC 220 camshaft, M-1 2bbl makes 451 horsepower and 505 ft/lbs of torque. Adding the Nitrous Express 150 shot brought the motor up to 569 horsepower and 750 ft/lbs.
