ok, i am not automechanically inclined. my 2000 2.5l has 3.55 gears, i am assuming, since that that is the stock ratio. if i wanted to change that to 3.92s for more accel, how would i do that?

for someone not inclined.. heres what you do.. buy the gears you want... and put them and the keys on the front seat as you drop it off at a good mechanic.

Yep no one should mess with their rear end, even if you are a mechanic. Just cuase you can work on the engine doesnt mean you can swap gears :)
Let a professional do the install.

Good advice guys. Just to let you know...if you've got a 2wd Dak...then the job should cost not a penny over $200 for the labor. (how much you pay for gears is up to you)...

GTO boy is correct. I was quoted 180-200 most places except 'performance shops.'

Go to a 4x4 or Deisel place, they usually have the best skill and prices.
