Hello, just wondering what kind of 1/4 mile times should a regular cab dak with the V6 and 5 speed with a chip and dual exhaust get? Anyone know? Also does a mildly modified V6 have a chance against a stock 4.7 with the auto trans?

my 2000 r/c v6 auto 3.55 gear runs ;best 16.92 @80.9 to crappy weather 17.40s@78.5 .stick shift should be much faster

You should be in the low 16s. You might could take a QC 4.7 auto 3.55.

all i know is that with a severely traction limited run on the 1/8th, i turned about a 12.3, but that was with a stock pre magnum, now i have a new camshaft that i put in about 4 days after the run, so i will post times when i get them

Yes, a mildly modified 3.9L can take or stay even with a 4.7L and 3.55s if the 3.9L has the 3.92s, but the 3.9L can't stick with the 4.7L very long if the 4.7L has 3.92s.

88 V6 with 120,000. Blower and magnum exhaust, it did a best of 16.91, thats with a holley 390 and a very rusty driver. I just put a Carter Thermoquad on it so I'm gonna see what it'll do with that. Before the blower it did 19.56. Also it's an automatic 3 spd (I have to shift about 5000 so the trans will change gears before 6000) with 2.94 gears. Hopefully in the next couple weeks (if the rain ever stops) it'll be getting a E body 8 3/4 with 3.23 gears.

I wouldn't say a mildy modded v6 could keep up with a 4.7...maybe a heavily modded, blown juiced.

My truck is a 1997 3.9 5 speed and it kept up with my friends 4.7 his is stock my truck has jba headers,fastman tb,intake, 180 tstat flowmaster, autolite 3923
