Hi all, I have switched around my intake at least 7 times to see if one way is any better, I made a homemade intake going to left fender, another homemade going from TB to airaid setup, right now I have the stock airhat on going to airaid and it is the same as any other way I have tried I can tell no difference in performance. One thing my truck is starting to do is rev when i slow down weird.

The only advantage I can see to having a Exspensive intake (Dumb) or homemade one is the sound and thats it, When I run 1 90 and 7 inch straight pipe from TB to airaid it seems a tad better because I dont have 2 bends in there.

I did one of the homebrew K&N deals that goes from the TB down to the fender. I noticed a drop off in low end power but it pulled harder at the top end.

I reinstalled the factory deal when I went for inspection and the low end power returned.

I now have a 50/50 deal, stock airhat with a 90 degree elbow & K&N and the power seems about the same but it's quieter, which I like.

I never had a stock intake with my truck, It came with the airaid setup that sits on stock airbox, Im sure the ztube or homemade intakes are better than stock but I dont think there is any difference from my airaid setup that does not go down to fender, I tried it that way and cant tell any difference.
