Yes, moving the "IAT" sensor does make a difference. Not huge, but noticeable. I moved mine just recently to the inside fender.

I tried it and it actually made my truck run rough. I lost .15 and a mph at the track.

Wesb, If that was directed towards me, I ran it for 300+ miles. It ran rough enough to stall my truck twice. Since I changed it back I don't have anymore of those troubles.

P. H. where did you relocate your IAT sensor to ? You have to keep it located so air is always moving across it. The improvement I noticed is during stop and go driving in 90 degree + days.

that place in the fender works just as well.. thats where most cold air intakes get the air from anyway

I have a 93 5.2 and It was mounted in the plastic intake tube 6" from the snorkel inlet.
