What should it cost to have a 44RE rebuilt due to a torque converter failure? Or should I just buy a good used on ? What does everyone think ? Is anybody selling a 44RE/46RE ?

isn't rebuilding the auto tranny due to torque converter failure sorta like replacing a manual transmission because the clutch is slipping?

When a clutch slips it doesnt send metal shavings into the manual tranny and it doesnt warp the pump bearings and seals ....... on a auto it does....... it also bent the input shaft... so yes i need a rebuild
