Hope someone can help, I bought the MSD Blaster SS coil for my 5.9 and I was wondering if I need the ballast resistor they talk about in the instructions? I dont have the control module yet but I am planning on getting a 6A in the future. Has anyone hooked up a Blaster SS without the control unit?

you dont need the ballast resistor because you dont have a points ignition. I have a blaster 2 on my 5.2L and didnt need it it works great
