It sounds like the biggest advantage the pre-'97 daks have over the newer daks is the weight difference. Has anyone started a project to reduce the weight of the dakota, especially the 4x4 extended cabs and quad cabs? I mean without going crazy and removing seats, spare tires, and other things that are used for normal driving.

I know intensedak39 has a v-6 that has been lightened a lot. go look around on the v-6 forum and try and get a hold of him.

Jonas has a light weight carbon fiber hood
and a fiberglass bumper. That will take about
50lbs. off the nose.
