I just bought a 03 R/T. The truck gets horrible gas milage. I have been averaging 14mpg highway. I have been looking into ways to improve the mpg. I have been finding out alot of things while doing this. The treehugging hippies must have protested because my truck has a slew of extra crap to make it a super clean emissions vechile. Hotter plugs, a restrictive air filter, torque management, and a third cat to name a few. To top it off I can't even buy a mopar PCM because the seal scrubbers stopped mopar from making one for my year. How is making a vechile slower and thirstier helping out environment? My truck is now low emissions but burns more fuel because of it. Sorry but had to vent.

Mithrac...Its not only the hippies but more often the damn yuppies. The have this need to try to have everyone live their lifestyle. The want clean air, but won't give up their cars or turn off the electric. They want trees but build big homes on farm land. They move to the country for peace and quiet then want malls built for convenience and complain about the smell. They want the trash they create dumped somewhere else. They complain about goverment, but demand more protection and services. They go to work a 7 in the morning and return home late evening and see their kids just before bedtime. Their credit cards are maxed out. They drive SUVs but the only off-roading they do is when they miss the driveway. They have children for a staus symbol, not a family..careers come first. They force their children into sports so they can bathe in glory and of course, give advise on a sport they never played. They play golf for exersise! They think animals in the mountains are dangerous.
I could go on and on,but what the use. The bible says the meek will inherit the earth ..... wrong ..... the do gooders will !!!!!!

Agree...you sound like one of those low life trailer park types who envies what others have and then criticizes what others do with their possessions. You fear anyone with an IQ greater than their shoe size, which in your case is most likely a 7 on both counts. This is a defence mechanism to assuage your own fears that you are a failure. Well, rest easy, you most likely are a failure and an ignorant goof as well.
The world would be a much beter place if the two of you followed Kurt Cobain's great example and rid the planet of yourselves.
Maybe when you reach puberty you'll get a clue as well as a job.

Grow up,
I have a high 12sec mustang that gets 17-19mpg city 22-24mpg highway. If you think you can't get good gas milage was a V8 you are a moron. You can't read either. I wasn't complaining about the gas milage I was complaining about seal scrubbers like you who make the goverment add equipment to my vechile that makes it slower and burn more gas. It's kind of a shame I have to drive my track car to work to save on gas.

Anyone know where I can get a PCM for and 03. I don't want a chip like the jet and hypertech crap. Does anyone flash the stock PCMs and if so how much would I have to shell out?

Go to Superchips website. They make the MicroTuner for the 360. I know they work on the 2002's, but I'm not 100% on the 2003.
You can plug and play with that set-up.
Sorry, but unless B&G Chrysler or the like have been given the "key" to the 03 PCM, that's what you'll be stuck with for now. Somebody else can chime in if they know different.
No hippies in here...The sign out front doesn't say you have to have a membership card to get inside. ;)

Go to Dodgetrucks.org check out the group buys forum or search the 5.2/5.9 topics for posts on the unit.
I've heard good from some of the folks, and some I seem to recall were having a hard time recalibrating their speedo's with big tired 4x4's.

Hey A**Hole trade that old 360 in on a nice new 4.7L. It sure beats the pants off the 360 and has alot better gas mileage.

Hey Mary,
You're pretty perceptive most people have to get to know me before they determine that I'm an a**hole. I'm sure you really like the 4.7 but I needed an engine that could tow a trailer with a car on it. It meant I needed an automatic. The 4.7 doesn't make near the torque of the 5.9. 295 does not equal 345 not matter how you look at it. Thanks for your input though. :)
