Has anyone spent the $500 bucks to have your intake extrude honed ? If so, I was wandering if you noticed any big difference. Also, does anyone know where the service can be performed for a reasonable price....$500 is not reasonable in my book.

you really would not notice it on a street engine very much if at all. Usually it is done on extreme high performance engines getting 150 hp. or so per liter of displacement or more, and then just to get that "last little bit out of it".

its not a bad method but you are better off getting a better intake and just hand porting it. 500$ is a little steep for the gains you would receive.

Make sure whoever does it, cleans the intake really well. Ive seen that shiet ruin motors because folks got sloppy and didnt thoroughly clean the extruded part.
$500 is expensive. Besides, it needs to be done in a precise manner, not just loading the intake up with the "abrasive". Youd do better off cutting the intake in 1/2 and rewelding it when the porting is done!
